![]() Unity has many physics features built in and they also have an integrated havok physics package which can be licensed. I apologize if this has been answered before, I'm new to game development and I just don't want to put all this work into a game for it to get taken down, or worse, for me to get sued. So I was wondering, if I were to make the game and put it out for free on steam and just advertise a patreon for development(and of course paying that $25,000 licensing fee) would they have a problem with that? And it just feels weird to take people's money without directly giving something back. Even if you show an almost finished product. And I don't really want to go to kickstarter or indiegogo as I feel they kinda have a bit of a stigma when it comes to indie games on there. But I'd also like to make an income off the game and since I'm very small I don't have the $25,000 to pay upfront for licensing havok. Hi all, I had an idea for a game and I believe the knowledge to do it and I think the source engine would just be the best engine to make it on because of the aesthetic and the physics engine. ![]()
